Seasons.

Image
We aren't quite in winter yet, but sometimes winter feels more like a state of mind than anything.  So, maybe we are in winter but figuratively speaking.  Today, when I got to the gym I saw this rainbow, it literally stopped me in my tracks.   I had to take a picture.  There are many things a rainbow represents, but to me in this season, it represents God's promises and hope.  Hope for a future, hope for spring.    W hile at the gym one, of my favorite things, is to use the sauna.  I always bring two things with me, my prayer journal and a foam roller.   { This prayer journal , is the best I have ever used. Go order yourself one, you won't regret it.}     Then on the way home from the gym, I was again reminded of God's promises,  by seeing the other side of the rainbow.  I hope today you see a rainbow and are reminded of God's promises and hope for your life too.

Thanksgiving.

Brandon and I had a quite Thanksgiving this year. Just the two of us, no traditional Thanksgiving day meal, because let's be honest it isn't that good anyway. So, we opted for something a little more our style, carne asada nachos! Anyway, I know Thanksgiving was over a week ago, but I think having a heart of gratitude is important anytime of the year.  So, here's a list of things I am thankful for: My faith and relationship with Jesus My husband Our three kids My parents, siblings, brother-in-laws, nieces/nephews Coffee Crime podcasts Audio books Photos Buying Christmas presents The way frost has settled the field in our backyard the last few days Trips to see my family My best friend, Megan Dinner with friends Ability to work Running The sauna Christmas decor Phone calls with my mom A warm house and fireplace My prayer journal Music
